1. Use of the Website

Rooting in Nature provides this website to share information about our offerings, events, and resources. You may use the website for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You agree not to use the website for any unlawful activity or in any way that could harm the website, our services, or our community.

2. Forest Therapy Programs & Participation

Rooting in Nature offers guided forest therapy walks and nature-based experiences (“Walks”), facilitated by Brittany Carr, Certified Forest Therapy Guide. By participating, you acknowledge:

• Forest Therapy is a relational, educational practice designed to support well-being and connection to nature. It is not medical, psychological, or therapeutic care and does not substitute for licensed health services.

• Participation is voluntary and carries known and unanticipated risks, including but not limited to slips, falls, exposure to weather extremes, insects, wildlife, and emotional discomfort.

• You are responsible for your own health, safety, and actions during participation. You confirm that you do not have any condition that would prevent or limit participation, and you will disclose relevant health information, including allergies.

• Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, who assumes full responsibility for their participation.

3. Photography & Media Consent

By participating in programs, you consent to photos or videos taken during the Walk being used by Rooting in Nature for promotional, educational, or marketing purposes unless you notify us otherwise in writing.

4. Payments & Refunds

• Payments for sessions, events, or collaborations may be made via Eventbrite, PayPal, Venmo, or invoicing for customized experiences. All payments are collected securely.

• Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance to be eligible for a refund or credit toward a future session. No-shows or cancellations within 48 hours are not eligible for a refund.

• In the event that Rooting in Nature cancels a program due to weather, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances, participants may choose a full refund or credit toward a future session.

• Refunds or credits outside of this policy may be considered at the sole discretion of Rooting in Nature.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on this website—including text, images, logos, and program materials—is owned by Rooting in Nature unless otherwise noted. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use content for commercial purposes without written permission.

6. Accounts & Security

If you create an account on our website, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login information and all activity under your account. Rooting in Nature cannot guarantee account security and is not liable for unauthorized access.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Strafford County, New Hampshire.
